The saddle is paired with a pair of Brooks Vans shoes. The Iconic British saddle maker Brooks and Legendary Vans of California have collaborated to produce this limited edition Vans Era LX shoe and Pro Team saddle. The Pro Team saddle in premium black leather with bronze studs is embossed with a skull and flower pattern. The pattern is repeated on the tongue of the shoe, which is also in soft, black leather. Bronze detailing features on the lace holes and the brown leather heel tab is stamped with the number of the shoe.
There are just a few pairs of the shoes from sizes 7.5, 8.5, 9, 10 (sold!) 10.5 11.5 (US Vans size). The pair of saddle with shoes is $500.
The saddle by itself $300.
Free shipping in the US.
We do not have shoes available by themselves at this time.
The packaging of both shoes and saddle is exquisite.

It’s just like Mardi Gras! says our customer from the “Witness Protection Program”. He was talking about his new art bike that we had built-out with lots of white componentry. The frameset is a Futura, one of 33 produced in 2008.

Literally. One new feature you’ll notice at AC is that we’ve been selected by Google Maps and Nate Query, the bass player of The Decemberists, as one of his favorite places in San Francisco.

“American Cyclery. A bike shop that’s been around for decades. They have lots of cool antique bike stuff, but they also have great new bikes and bike parts.” Thanks Nate, we appreciate your praise and thanks to Google for letting everyone know about it.

So in this honor, we’ll leave you with a video of one of our favorite Decemberists songs, “The Sporting Life”. Although not about cycling, I can easily interpret this song’s emotions through the heart of the perpetual Domestique.

So hurry up and mash up here and pick one up while they last, $875 and this gem is yours.

It’s the simple things really…
